they didnt, they stopped the calender..but you have to remember their civilization was wiped out, by war, famine, disease, natural disaster..nobody knows for sure..nowhere do they say the world, even the existing mayans say that the world wont end

Mayan Calendar – Dimensional Shift – End “Time”

The Mayans were trying to tell us about an upcoming shift in consciousness. Maybe I’m just making stuff up, but perhaps the desire to know more about dimensions of reality is all it takes to actually know more. In this video I discuss how dimensions organized in this way could explain the creation of matter and anti-matter. Quantum mechanics could be explained with this model. String theory also seems to fit quite nicely. All dimensions (space, time/attraction, consciousness and reality) all seek to expand. Matter manifests desire to be larger with gravity. Consciousness eventually becomes self aware, and attraction eventually breaks free of duality. Perhaps this explains the end of time as we know it. Our collective consciousness is becoming self aware. This manifests itself as synchronicity. Low level of conscientiousness may be hit with the equivalent low levels of anti-consciousness, much like the idea of getting hit my anti-matter (ie: anti-space). At the same time, we are receiving an influx of more positive dimensional consciousness that is essentially ‘waking up’ those who are consciously aware of the change. Peace!

All these cultures from around the world have prophecies about 2012. Is there something that our western world has missed?

EGYPT According to the Great Pyramid (stone calendar), present time cycle ends in year 2012 AD.
CHEROKEE Their ancient calendar ends at EXACTLY the same time as the Mayan calendar.
CHINESE have 2012 prophecies called Tuey Bei Tu. The first 55 have already been fulfilled. Prophecy 56 mentions “Millions of miles of deadly smoke, on top a mushroom and at bottom a fountain.”
MAORI elders of New Zealand describe it as “Ka hinga te arai”, meaning “the veil will fall”. Its believed the veils will dissolve and there will be a merging of the physical & spiritual worlds in 2012.

MAYANS Call 2012 the “end days” or the end of time as we know it. Mayans said that creation started 16.4 BILLION years ago. This figure is very close to what Astronomers estimate the age of the universe to be. This 16.4 billion year time cycle comes to completion on the 21st December 2012 AD. They were aware of the 14th b’ak’tun (after 2012). In fact, the Mayans knew of previous cycles, (and ones to come). They didn’t predict the end of the world, it was only the end of that cycle. Their civilization died out several hundred years before the end of the cycle. Amazingly, Mayans predicted the invasion of their country and the genocide of their people to the very day. They didnt fight back, as it was an ancient prophecy and was considered as inevitable, which is why so no new cycle was created.

Who said i think the worlds gonna end? and they did predict what year their civilization would be overrun by foreigners coming from over the seas (look it up. very well documented in history). just cause you dont understand how complex some things are, it doesnt mean these things dont exist

Cancun or Costa Rica in July?

I am planning to take my Mom for a nice vacation (kinda Mother/daughter thing). The timeframe is July 1-18th. I am currently thinking between Cancun or Costa Rica. We are not the type of people who would be happy just spending this whole time at one resort, wetbars and spas. Ideally I’d love to combine a few days on the beach/snorkeling etc with some adventure tours – see Mayan ruins, or going on nature tours. Since I am travelling with Mom, adventure has to be safe Neither of us has ever being to Mexico or Costa Rica, so any advice will be useful. The biggest concern is rainy season/hurricane season, and also what to do. In Cancun -with day trips to Mayan ruins, horse riding, cenotes, etc – is there enought to do for 18 days? Is it better to stay in all inclusive hotel? In Costa Rica – how rainy is it and what is the general advice you’d give? Thanks in advance

costa rica is safer cause the drug cartels havent infiltrated there yet, so pick it

18 days is quite along time, id stay a week at most

Me and my mother are going on a vacation this Christmas break. My mom only likes places that are warm and I like different or exciting. I want to come back with good stories. I have already been to Aruba, and the Dominican Republic. In Dominica we went zip-lining through the rain forest. I like things like that, zip-lining, scuba diving, caving, hiking. Adventurous things. I wanted to go to the Mayan ruins in Mexico but my parents say it is “too dangerous” in Mexico. Any other Ideas? ALSO My family really likes all inclusive resorts. (We live in Canada if that helps)
Ya sorry but Whistler is still FARRR to cold, and winter sports won’t work. my mom is scared of the cold that is why we pack up and head south every winter. I need a tropical climate.

Whistler is great, because B.C is on the coast.. or something like that it is genuinely warmer over there. Plus it is very winter sport and sight seeing oriented. (I’m not being biased, I’m actually from Ontario, not B.C :p ) so good luck and have fun!

Mayan Ruins in Chiapas, Mexico December 9, 2009

We were taking a cruise to the Panama Canal and back. At one of the ports of call, Puerto Chiapas, Mexico, we took an excursion out to see a charming town called Tuxtla Chico and then to see some Mayan ruins. These ruins are the site of an ancient ceremonial center where sacrifices and prayers were offered by Mayan priests.

It was during these days that it was necessary for there to be blood offerings to propitiate the gods. In the beginning of the culture, it was usually required of the ruling classes to provide the blood needed. This was usually provided by the piercing of lips, ear lobes, tongue, and genitals with thorns, sting ray spines or other non- lethal methods. With the arrival of the Toltec overlords, the severity of the sacrifices increased dramatically. The use of human sacrifice began to follow in the Central Mexican fashion, with the need for large numbers of human sacrifices. It is during this period that it became necessary for powerful Mayan states to invade neighbors to capture the victims needed for the many sacrifices needed. Some of the methods that were used were decapitations, cutting the hearts from living victims, flaying, dismemberment, drowning and probably other methods not recorded or determinable by archaeological methodology.

1. Are there any great hotels that are NOT all inclusive in PV?

2. If so, what are they? My criteria for a great hotel are….Under $ 110.00 US a night….Big beach with good waves to play in… Nice pool….good resteraunts and service…. Clean… not loud…. 5-10 minute walk from great resterants, shopping, other big fun beaches.

3. How is PV broken up? What are the different “zones?” I read something about the “Hotel zone” and the “Zona Romantica”

4. What’s the difference between the different zones? For example, which has the best shopping and art and architecture? Which one is the most crowded? Which is the least crowded? Which has the best beaches or resteraunts?

5. What part of PV has the best waves for surfing or boogie boarding?

6. Lastly and most importantly, Have any of you been to other places in Mexico that are way “better” than PV? I love the mayan riv. and I loved Mazatlan but does PV compare?

ok i’ve been to PV many times. i always use travelocity.com to find a cheap hotel and then i go to a travel agent (we live in guadalajara) and most of the time they have better deals for the same hotel.

there aren’t really zones, it’s kinda like a big strip or “boardwalk”.

we actually liked Nuevo Vallarta more, it’s about 20 or 30 mins from Vallarta. it was cleaner and safer but it’s not as “wild” at night as PV. I would recommed Nuevo Vallarta, but most hotels are all inclusive. My husband and I stayed 4 days 3 nights and it cost us less than $ 300 american dollars ($ 2998 pesos, so you’ll have to check the exchange rate).

The calendar is derived from the Olmec calender. The Olmec were a civilization who inhabited South-Central Mexico from ~1400 BC to 400 BC, and were the progenitors of several Aztec and Mayan practices, such as the ball games and bloodletting.

So we have done some researching into where we might want to go for a honeymoon. It will be in July 2009. We are really liking the idea of Belize because it has everything we want; Rainforest, beaches, mayan history and site seeing, caves, rivers and a lot more of really fun stuff. I have been into Belize,several times!
One of the things you should do is a adventure trip to Lamanai,
Lamanai Mayan Ruins is one of the most beautiful places I have seen.
to get there you have to take a fast boat on the New River,
but I believe You will never forget!

Agree with this. Just came to me and it’s true. We choose to live in society because it is the norm not because we are tramped. That is a preconceive notion. A Delusion at its worst. You may of course t suggest it is crazy to think differently. But our minds are everything. The influence the Mayans had on human civilization is constantly underestimated. Our minds are actually powerful.

God himself gave us free will. That speaks for itself. lol So this truth is so fascinating to me. People feel trampled, hopeless, disparity all for nothing. We have permission to have courage and confidence to have a better life. Get rid of what makes us feel below.

I speak of God because The bible speaks of the stars and universe…

I just think it’s too bad that our system is so controlled and big you have to first get into the system to take control. Get it?
Or maybe I’m just one knowing everyone has the potential.

in a way i would agree with you, but as a whole, look around you. do you see what we’ve taught ourselves?

obviously, we do need God in even that matter. because, as you can see, when left to our own devices…you see what our protential is.
