I don’t know and I am a Christian. The bible says that no man shall know the hour when Jesus will return. Only God knows. People have been guessing for years now. It was 2000. But actually, the way things are going, I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t have this one close.

2012 means nothing to a Christian other than a number, or date. No significance is attached to it other than its in the future.

But I read on the internet somewhere that 2012 will be the year where the earth will cool down. The earth takes cycles in heat and cold, heat and cold. We are well past an ice age but the earth is actually cooler than what it is hypothesised as it should be,
It’s the end of the mayan calender and the start of the “Aquarian age” if you google “Crystal children” and “Indigo children” these people are the starting of the 2012 manifestiation. I believe also as a scientist that the direction of the earth rotation may change as well as if it goes in one direction, normal physics can describe how spins on elastic will go in the opposing direction.

I don’t know any Christians who believe a 2012 prophecy.
And that means that it is NOT common.
